Yoga .....I was initially drawn to yoga out of curiosity, but what got me more fascinated was that it empowered me to take care of my body and mind. It is the union of the breath, the mind, and the physical body. It has the power to heal, to help folks look & feel better, and to give them a sense of calm and confidence. .....Teaching is always inspiring when you see the transformation of the students over the yoga session. Yoga can be very gentle, or can be more strenuous. The person has to know himself to find that balance. Exploring the ego and our fear is part of the experience as.Yoga is meditation. Yoga is also the asanas (poses), and it is, very importantly, the breath. It is an ancient practice brought to the West from India through a long lineage of teachers. There are many styles to choose from, and many different levels of classes. It is important to do some research, or try a few different yoga modalities and see what works for you. .....I currently teach group yoga classes at The Noell St. Yoga Center in San Diego. Please contact me to schedule a session. Private classes are a great way to either introduce yourself to the practice, or deepen your practice. You can continue your private sessions, or move on to taking yoga in a class setting. ** Mens's Yoga : Noell St. Yoga Center (Middletown), 3485 Noell St. 92110 (free parking lot)*/ please call or e-mail me for reservation (415) 215-8023 |

Yoga Classes Classes are in the style of a slow hatha flow. The intensity will depend on the experience of the students . My private sessions can be very different in that I design sequences for the individual, and the student will get a lot of hands-on adjustments. My Training In 2007 I began my on-going training with Ana Forrest, an internationally respected yoga master. Ana developed her own style of Forrest Yoga and has over 30 years of yoga experience. I have also studied extensively in workshops with the Hatha, Anusara, & Iyengar styles of yoga. In addition, I attend yoga workshops/classes offered by Tony Briggs, Tony Eason, Sianna Sherman, Jonathan Reynolds, and Les Leventhal in San Francisco. From this I have developed the approach to create a playful, compassionate atmosphere enabling you to explore, find your edge and inspiration in order to reach your personal goals. I recently completed a teacher trainng with Erich Schiffman, at Exhale Spa in Venice, CA. I love adding Eric's wisdom to my own teaching. Forrest Yoga The pillars of Forrest Yoga are breath, strength, integrity and spirit. Ana Forrest, and her staff, are a group of highly dedicated individuals who embody the spirit of yoga in every way. Their intense presence kept me forging ahead when the challenges of the training put me in doubt. They taught me to breath into my heart, find my voice, and elevate my life. Their professionalism is to be commended. Thank you Ana Forrest, Jonathan, Kelley, Umnami, & Suzie. I continue to take Forrest Yoga workshops. I taught Ana Forrest inspired yoga class (Hatha Flow) at Gold's (SOMA) Gym in San Francisco in 2007 & 2008. -- -- Student Recommendations
